Teksport Rockhopper RH340 Coastal
Welcome to the world of rockhopping, an activity slotting neatly into the gap between playboating and sea kayaking.
Rockhopping is a ‘close to the shore’ saltwater paddling; short trips and playing the sea, calm or wild. Rocky coastlines, blue skies, rock gardens, swells, surf, tides and tide races – all combining to ensure the perfect rockhopping experience.
The Rockhopper RH340 unique hull shape provides high stability and extreme maneuverability, an ideal combination for close shore exploration in wind and wave. Although Rockhopper is aimed at those with the skills required to kayak in extreme conditions, the high stability means the kayak can also be used by beginners (who may find conventional sea kayaks unstable and difficult to manoeuvre).
Fed up of long drawn out summers when the rivers run dry? Not convinced about long, skinny and expensive sea kayaks? After almost three years in development, BLUEsky's RH340 rockhopping kayak has finally completed exhaustive testing. The RH340 has been designed with a bias toward close shore play (rock gardens, surf, overfalls) whilst retaining enough forward speed for trippin' and exploration. The RH340 can also be used as a "crossover" kayak: sea, lake, coaching, touring.
